Social media is a big advocat in showcasing the best of people's lives. Things may seem hunky dory from the outside, but it's not all about coffee art, big brands and dream holidays. Just because things may look great on the outside, the truth may not be what lies beneath.
Picking your dream job sounds easy enough right?! Well it's not. In my inner circle of my nearest and dearest, I can honestly say I know about three people who are doing their dream job. Lucky them right?! While others may sit there and think that's impossible or so far from their reach, others are out there, doing their dream on a daily basis, so why is it so hard for some of us?
The truth is that it all comes down to you. My dream is to write - so that's what I am doing. I channel my creativity into my blog so while I may not be doing my life-long dream right now, I'm still doing something about it and that gives me enough to feel that I am being successful in fulfilling my goals.
Take small steps in edging towards your dream career. Not into football? Don't work in sports. Don't want to work in an office? Then don't. The first step is you deciding what you actually want to do. Believe it or not, you can actually do whatever you want; it doesn't matter if you have a degree in English, if you want to be a Fireman, then go and be one.
Channel your passions and dreams into finding your dream career. The chances are if you are good at something, and you think about it 24/7, like me and my blog, then it's probably the right career for you.
It's important to remember that everyone changes. I always wanted to be a singer when I was younger. Now? I couldn't see it far enough. People change all the time and I think it's very brave to put up your hands and say 'this isn't for me'.
You only get one chance, so why not make the most of it?
