F-F-Freezing at Work

It comes to that point every year when you question whether it’s socially acceptable to leave the house and go to work in your dressing gown.

It may be okay to wear pyjamas, thermal pants, tops, t-shirts, jumpers and coats when you’re freezing at home, but how do you dress professionally at work without looking too casual?

ALAÏA

There I was.. Flicking through my Glamour magazine, unaware what was about to happen to me.

I was about to fall in love.

With a perfume.

Now, don't laugh... You clearly haven't smelt the Alaia Paris Eau de Parfum yet, or you'd feel the same too.

Classy Classes

From the modern day muses, Kate and Pippa Middleton and Kim Sears, to the golden girls of the past such as Marilyn and Coco Chanel… there are a lot of women out there that are channelling that timeless classic look.

For that oh-so-effortless put together look that our favourite A-Listers rock so well, the key to that cool but classy look is simplicity.

The easiest way to embrace your inner chic is to choose pieces that have a timeless essence. If you look back at the key fashion influences of the past, a lot of the women, and men, are wearing pieces that have a simple structure.

When You Have That Online Interview...

We have all been there.. Desperately searching around for a job.. Looking for that dream role while trying to pay the bills.. and when you finally get an interview – the preparation can be one of the most stressful things.

Having a Skype interview can be a good and bad thing. The good thing is – you are in the comfort of your own home – the bad thing is – you are in the comfort of your own home.

Preparation is key for a Skype interview however knowing what to wear is just part of it.

Star Light Star Bright

I was never one for highlighter until Benefit's Watts Up landed in my lap. Yay!

Now, here is how the story goes...

I am into cream products as I have dry skin so powders are not my thing. I never felt the need for highlighter as with cream products - my skin was already dewy but I thought I would give this a go.

The first time I wore it was to Ascot and let me tell you - it lasted ALL. DAY.

Perfect Perfection

I can't believe I haven't written about this before.

The Clarins BB Skin Perfecting Cream has been one of my go-to holiday tinted moisturizers since forever.

Shocking.

What's That Smell?? - Miller Harris Noix de Tubereuse

Can you smell something?

Yes?

That's the sweet sweet smell of my new perfume - Miller Harris Noix de Tubereuse EDP.

Writing a blog post about a perfume is rather tricky - how do you really describe a smell and do it justice? Well, I can only start by saying it really is, truly, lovely.

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeasy - Laura Mercier Metallic Creme Eye Colour

Hey there beauty babes and welcome back to another exciting post.

Well... exciting for some.

Today I'm talking about the Laura Mercier Metallic Creme Eye Colour and the colour in question is Rose Gold.

The reason that I've dedicated a whole blog post to this one colour is because it is just so damn beautiful. You can bet that whenever I wear this little tube of wonder on my eyes, everyone notices and everyone compliments it.

For The Love of All Things Eyes - L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Mono Eyeshadow

The second that I laid eyes on this... I knew i had to have it and boy, do I love it.

Lets talk about eye shadows. From pinks to browns, pigments to creams - they come in all shapes in sizes, but the L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Mono Eyeshadow in Over The Taupe is something spectacular.

The thing that drew me to this, like a bird to metal, was the colour. My eyes are pretty blue so I am all over those taupey browns. What surprised me was that the colour doesn't come out as dark as it does on the lid, but with the added 'shimmer', it adds an amazing, gorgeous sparkly glow to the eyes.

Grander Than Grand - Lancome Grandiose Mascara

Stop what your'e doing and pay attention.

I've found a new love and it's a mascara. I have to control myself as I'm typing this as it may be the best *gasp* and coolest thing I have ever tried.

The first thing to mention is the wand. No it's not broken, its wonderful! I didn't think the 'bend' in the want would work - straight mascara's have always worked, but this baby lets you get your lashes from all angles - giving you longer and more coated lashes. It's so easy to use and because of the bend, you can also get your corner lashes to the same thickness and length as the inner lashes - SUCCESS!
